Probably. All the apartments on this side are connected. There's a vent in the bedroom that just opens up to a common air shaft. Not really sure why that's allowed...

Because it's cheaper than doing individual vents. It could be coming in fron the dryer vents as they are usually combined in apartment blocks as well. So are range hood fans and bathroom fans. Oh the joy of living in apartments.

Our heat/AC is all separate. At least that's what I've been told. I don't believe it, because I can tell you what my upstairs neighbors eat for dinner just about every time they cook. Pretty sure the driers are separate, since all the apartments have little vent thingies next to them. I'm assuming they're for the driers, but not 100% sure. I am convinced the bathroom vents are connected; we don't use it anymore.

The one on the bedroom is just a hole in the wall with a grate over it. It doesn't actually function. Or at least I've never felt anything coming from it or going to it.

I'm only here 7 more months, and then I'm hellbent and determined to find a house to rent. In Mississippi :D
