One of my roomates ran the DC++ hub last year at the Univ. of Dayton. He had it hidden pretty good.

However, they eventually decided to shut off the entire universities internet because they couldnt find it; then they turned it back on building by building then floor by floor... so once the internet came back on it auto connected and could tell where it was coming from. He lost his internet priveleges in his room for a year.

However, were smarter than they are :banana

I only use DC++ If I can't find it there, it doesn't exist. I get fast downloads, and have yet to pick up any viruses with over 50gigs downloaded so far. It's a difficult program to get working just right, but once you get everything set up just right, it's a very powerful program indeed.

I was about to start calling everyone n00bies until DC++ came up.

I use Exeem, BitTornado and a couple FTP dumps that my friends own.

i use eMule, part of the eDonkey network. mainly b/c i havent had any viruses yet. it is slow to download though, and it is wierd. if you download something and leave the screen visible while it downloads, it says the donkey doesnt like to be watched or some bullsh!t and if you minus the screen, it is pretty quick. maybe it is a virus :dunno

Yeah, I use Lime Wire and WinMX to get my junk. I listen to a bunch of punk music, but mostly the newer stuff, and emo/screamo. Lime Wire has never let me down.

KazaaLite got taken away? What the? When did this happen? And what the hell kind of Kazaa am I still using to download my porn... uh, I mean music? I could have sworn it was KazaaLite. :dunno
But anyway, I never share any of the files I download. I mean, if I was able to download it then obviously I don't need to share the same file. Am I right or am I just a stingy fuck?
