Almost normal!!! I get my stitches out on Thursday. Results came back from Emory confirming it was just a mucocele.

And we're back to normal except for a small dark line on the bottom outer lip where the blood settled. I had my follow-up appointment yesterday and he said it looked REALLY good. 3 out of 4 stitches were still in...he was able to remove 1, but said the other 2 would require him gouging me like hell and they should fall out on their own anyway. Once I got home I played around w/ them a little w/ my tongue and loosened them up enough that they came out. Yesterday was the only day I had any pain from it, and it was b/c I had accidentally bitten the incision site the day before. A couple of rinses w/ peroxide fixed it right up, though.

So I had to put out $375 out of pocket when I had the surgery done b/c the oral surgeon doesn't contract w/ any insurance companies. I've been checking my claims page for weeks now and finally saw today that they're paying all but $150 of it, so I'll be getting a check for $225 back shortly. Woot woot!!!
