glavauzid.png Sorry, I just feel the need to rant so I shall tell you all a little story. (OK, fine...it's a long story :ninja)

I ordered my mom some flowers from FTD.com last week for Mother's Day. I changed my order twice because I kept getting emails that the bouquet I had chosen was not available to be delivered to her area. After receiving a THIRD email like that I finally called them and was told that there was no florist in her area that filled FTD orders. The CSR told me that I could have them sent by FedEx but I'd have to (surprise surprise) choose a different bouquet. So I did that and we got things worked out. Later that day I got another email saying that the bouquet I had chosen was not available to be delivered to her area. glavauzid.png Because I hate calling people I went back online and changed it again from there. After that revision I didn't receive any more emails so I figured things were good to go.

The flowers were scheduled to be delivered on May 5. I called my mom the next day and she had not received any flowers. :willy_nilly: She didn't get her flowers over the weekend either. I tried calling a couple of times this week but whenever I called I was put on hold and didn't feel like wasting my cell phone battery for 30+ minutes so I didn't talk to anyone until today.

The person I talked to this morning apologized for everything and said that they could have it sent out tomorrow. Yeah, it was late but my mom was still going to get her flowers so I was cool with that. Wouldn't you know it, about half an hour later I get an email saying that my order couuldn't be delivered as scheduled and I needed to call to reschedule. glavauzid.png So I called and was told again that there weren't any florists that would deliver to my mom's area. That's nice. What about that FTD Direct thing I was told about???? All the guy would tell me was that there weren't any florists. So I finally just cancelled the order and got a refund.

So, my mom was neglected by me again for Mother's Day this year. :(

I didn't do the facebook thing, but it just seemed SO over done. I did lose my golden child status because my brother called hours before me.

My mom doesn't know how to operate a computer, let alone have a facebook account. :p I did change my pic to one of my mom, though.

Maybe if she lived in the city I could have sent her flowers. :p

It's probably because my mom lives in a little town out in the sticks. It would have been nice to know that they can't/won't deliver to areas like that when I was placing my order, or even after the first attempt to change my order. All they told me was this arrangement isn't available for that area, choose another. Well, maybe they should have mentioned that NO arrangements were available for that area. free-happy-smileys-839.png

That sucks with the FTD BS! But you can still do something for her!

There are lots of ideas out there and I'm sure you could have it delivered.

Welcome to Canada....the land that's always 8 steps behind the USA.

If I would have been Zirc I would have called a florist in the town where her mom lives and dealt direct with them.
I could have done that...except I hate calling people. :ninja I avoid it as much as possible. :ninja
