Yet her conflictions still help her case into sainthood.

I have doubts, but hell I've never even doubted that Jesus existed and was above all.

Well I can't debate this anymore.

a. I don't believe in any of it.
b. Neither of us can really know what happens anyway.

However, I think all the good she did throughout her life saved her. She initially delcared her nunhood in 1931. That's a long way to go without indulging in the pleasures of the flesh. 66 years...

I don't see how you can't believe she said such things. All of those quotes were taken directly from personal letters.

Personally I don't believe in religion but if it was her religious convictions that inspired her to do all the good she did, I really don't give a shit what she later did or didn't doubt!

It wasn't just doubt. "I've lost my faith" was mentioned several times through the book. That goes beyond doubt.

I'm not sure what you're getting at with the god line.

It was a joke about doubt in belief... lol God striking himself with a lightning bolt he creates to make sure he's real... joke... type... thing...

Yeah... *coughs*

Because all the hype around her was how perfect she was. With this, she seems a little more human and flawed now. Something we can all relate to.

Doesn't it make her a bit of a hypocrite though, by pretending she was so faithful in god when for most of the time she doubted even his existence?
