Besides the obvious things such as houses/holidays/cars. I mean like items (Phones/Clothes/Shoes/Computers, etc.)

Basically something which you now feel was a waste of money :p

Mine would probably be £200+ on a pair of headphones! My Mum still moans at me for wasting my money, haha.

£400 on a Playstation 3 with 2 games in 2007. It was actually a 60gb one which they no longer make and I still have it.

Haha yeh, I remember paying nearly £300 for the xbox 360 the week it was released. Can pick brand new one's up now for like £100-150! Sucks lol.

Hm.... I wish I'd never bought our old car, it cost £500 and then we found out it needed loads of work.

I bought a dress once for £150 and ended up selling it on for the same amount without wearing it...

If we also exclude the tv, then for me in the dim and distant past it would be the Matrox RT2500 setup.

At the time, it cost me over £700.

The Matrox was great at the time but now it seems a bit... old.

In terms of waste of money - I brought some Triton 5.1 headphones which required 2 power adapters for a self birthday present once. I used them and they seemed great - but one channel audio channel wasn't coming through so speech would be one sided. The mini amp was to blame.

Cost around £120 and used about twice. So still in pristine condition except for the amp issue. That was a couple of years ago.

Too many things to list, but probably $10K on Martin Logan speakers, $3K on a HD projector or maybe even $5K on a plasma tv back when they first came out.

Expensive items?

I have a few guns including optics which I paid over $1500.00 for.
My 52" Samsung TV was a little under 2 grand.
Several furniture Items I have purchased topped out between 1 and 2 grand.
Outside of houses & cars. My swiimming pool, storage building and my wife's diamond ring.
