More pretty ponies

Canadian Nationals was last week. I wasn't working at the show but I made it down to Regina on Saturday to see a few classes. These pics are from the senior stallions class.

This is Scimitar. He has insane amounts of hair. I am glad I'm not his groom.


Tribute Thyme. He was champion. It's not the best picture but it's the only one I have of him because I wasn't expecting him to win. :ninja


Pyro Thyme. He was reserve champion. He's very compact but well put together. My boss is a big fan and breeds a lot of mares to him.


This is Pistal, the horse I was expecting to win. I think he came in third. That made me chipper because I didn't want him to win.

LOL! These ones probably aren't sweet. They're stallions and sweet is not something one associates with stallions. Did you see that picture I posted of Pyro Thyme in skyblue's "Pictures I took" thread? Uncooperative would be an understatement for that horse. :willy_nilly: Now I know where all our Pyro Thyme babies get their attitude from. :surrender

You'd like Beemer. He's old and fat and I ride him sometimes because he's not inclined to go very fast.

We had this one Palamino named Dodger, but every one called him Snowball.

He was so sweet. He came when you called him and then rubbed his head on you. I used to ride him without a saddle or anything...until one day he got spooked or something and started galloping, and then he threw me.

After that I used at least a sur single...and I didn't think he was as sweet.

:nod: He is. He's a multiple national champion and you should have seen his handler's face when he wasn't called for the championsihp. It was really quite amusing because his handler is that hot shot guy that nobody likes. His horses win everything all the time because his clients have all the money and can afford to buy all the best horses. :thumbdown Same reason everyone looked down on the Rangers before the salary cap.
