Per Clares suggestion, I joined this dating site thing... OkCupid! Free Online Dating
Everything is fine...until the messages begin, and dont end. Im going to rant here for a while. I have recently given up all dating and anything that has to do with being proactive towards any person getting close to me. I have also given up sex too. Per my ex's advice, it only causes headaches. I have found now though, that guys think its a game. It's not a friggin game! Im in self preservation mode. Deal with it, you aren't getting it!!
Here is my main issue of the day... Read my new profile paragraph. It will explain it all.

I am a 25 year old white female who is looking for a fun time with friends. I am not looking for a friend with benefits. I have decided in my life to kick back and let it run it's course. I have given up the dating efforts. There are too many basket cases out there to be worth my time. I am sick to death of the role sex has taken in America. Can no man have a conversation with a woman he has just barely met that doesn't involve sexual inuendos? No, I don't want to tell you what I do in bed, or what I am wearing under my clothes. Mind your own damn business. If you had any tact whatsoever, you would know that treating women like whores will only give a whore in return. A real woman with morals and values won't allow a man to speak to her in that way. It is straight up disrespectful. Get some class, Ladies and Gentlemen!

Sounds typical of any Dating site, There are men out there that are looking for beyond the Sex, But the largest perent of men on any dating site, or using it to get an easy lay.. Doesnt matter what you say, they figure if your there, that your there for the same reason as them, and everything else is just a game.

They read what you right, but figure it does not apply to them because .. your on a dating site, ya cant really mean it... I know that is why I gave up on them,, their just a joke.

It's not just this site tho, it's every single site I am on, every instant messenger, every guy I encounter. I just finally snapped on this okcupid site today because of one person. However, a person on here will attest to my snapping on him earlier today. Whether he fesses up to it or not, well that has yet to be answered.

Believe it or not, there are actually some really decent men out there. You just have to look really deep for them. They're rare and sometimes hard to find but once you find him, you will know.
Seems like you are going thru a rough patch right now and I wish you nothing but the best of luck in the route you choose. Follow your heart, not what anyone else believes you should do.

Yeah, I agree with Tim. Don't worry so much about dating. Just go out, have fun and do the things you want to do and a decent bloke will turn up when you least expect. I think of all the pubs, clubs and parties I've been to on the pull and I finally met my wife at my mums house! I never thought I'd meet my future wife there!:eek

Yeah, she had some relatives round for a family do and my future wife came along as she was staying with them after she had split up with her fiancee. I'd just given some German girl the old heave ho after I found out she was two timing me so as you can imagine niether of us were looking to try and make an impression on each other. We ended up talking because there was nothing else to do and found out we had a lot in common.

Maybe these singles sites have a higher proportion of (I want to use the term wierdo here, so I will) wierdos is because the better guys get snatched up quickly leaving behind the dorks.
