it's a drive thru like they have at McDonald's - but they give you beer and alcohol and daiquiris!!

If they ever tried to take this away from me, I would be depressed and go off my mental rocker. I would build a fortress in the Louisiana mountains and shoot people who tried to come close to me. I would raise my children to hate the man....:24:

they give the straw, but you aren't supposed to put the straw in the lid until you get home. otherwise it is an open container....

I just keep extra lids in my car so if they catch me....oh this sounds like I am a drunk driver! I am so NOT! this is for when my roommate drives me to go get a daiquiri...sadly not all of Louisiana feels this way.

I've been through a drive through booze shop in Australia, its kind of overrated even though it sounds good. I prefer to look around, see the prices, see what theve got before paying rather than pointing frantically out of the car window at what vaguely looks like what I want and then finding out it's a 6 pack of Budweiser or some shit.:willy_nilly::surrender

Thats exactly the point which is so stupid when you consider the mentality of the hardened boozer. Loads of us already stock up on cheap booze on day trips to France as it is so this has fail written all over it.
Tax on alcohol pays the entire cost of the NHS 5 times over as it is so the argument about health costs really hasn't got a leg to stand on either.
This is just a pointless exercise to pander to the broken Britain tag hyped up by the media and win more votes. Unfortunately your average voter dosen't see through these publicity gimmicks.

Our Conservative Government is about to bring out a new budget they say will have no taxes.. With a record deficit they can only do a few things and options are now limited to taxes, cuts or layoffs in their establishment..

They can ill afford job cuts due to high unemployment, promised no tax increases and say they will not do cuts in programs.. What magic drug are they smoking..

I figure the freezes that are realistically program cuts are coming as well as taboo ( SIN Taxes ) gas, alcohol and cigarette increase will be done. Call it a new name as you wish but an increase on those is a TAX..

I guarantee you we see no budget decrease although they will say it will go down.. At least not from their actions and only should the economy get better and revenues keep getting healthier will it slighty improve. But with all the people unemployed I don't see the numbers going down soon...

people used to make there own cigs here too. a bag of cheap loose tabacco was like 8 bucks for 6oz.

then Pa got smart and they upped the tax on the loose stuff and it was like 24.00 for 6oz. went up 16.00:eek

That's not just there, that's a federal law that went into effect last year. I work for a tobacco retailer and our prices got ridiculous after last april. Like you said a 6 oz bag went from 8 to 24 bucks. .It's pure bullshit that was caused by big tobacco lobbyists. Phillip Morris and RJ Reynolds saw that they were losing a ton of revenue to roll your own. Instead of doing the smart thing and marketing their own loose tobacco(which would've taken over the market! Marlboro roll your own?) they went and got the feds to up the tax on loose tobacco.

The break down equaled out to a 2500% price increase on loose tobacco. .tell me how that is fair at all.

The joke is on them though, People are smoking more loose now then ever..6oz is equal to a carton of smokes, at 24 a bag it's still cheaper then buying a carton.
