Everyone goes through a phase in their life where they make fun of people who drink mikes and smirnoff. In reality, who gives a shit what someone else is drinking? If they like mikes then let them drink it. Besides, it has more alcohol content than a beer.... I remember when i was 18 and I thought it was un-cool to drink smirnoff, but then again, i was 18.

last time i had Mike's Hard Lemonade was a few years ago. i was staying with some friends of mine and i was having a really shitty day at work so i bought a 12 pack of Mike's Hard Lemonade and took it back to their place to drink. well i didnt just drink it all...i shot gunned the whole 12 pack while they were out. was done with that and raided what they had in their fridge and drank that down. i dont remember what it is because i was drunk as hell. i only remember getting on the computer, going into a chat room and trying to get in a huge car club...lol. well that didnt happen so i ended up passing out. one friend (James knows here...Vonnie) said that when her and her husband walked thru the door, i was passed out on the couch and had nothing on but my boxers...no blanket, just boxers on. she apparently gota blanket and put it on me. i dont know how i ended up like that but that was the last time i had Mike's Hard Lemonade.

Ive never tried Mikes Hard Lemonade. I'll have to remember that next time I hit the liquor store. I do have some of that cheap ass Boones Farm in my fridge that I might open later though

i used to bong Boone's Farm back in the day with a buddy of mine when i lived in Virginia. it was a nightly thing for awhile one summer. me, my friend Chuck and some of his neighbors would get wasted in the cul-de-sac of his neighborhood by bonging Boone's Farm. fun times!!

It's not a phase. That stuff just plain sucks. When you're young, those are your introductory drinks for the harder better stuff. I don't care what someone drinks, but if it it's that, it sucks. Anyhow, when I was 15 I drank Mikes and Smirnoff and got trashed. As I got older and more adjusted to alcohol, I of course drifted to the extremely expansive world of alcohol.
You won't find anyone over 18 drinking Mikes or Smirnoff unless they're girls, or soft guys.

I'm 24 and I drink it between the good beer, like Sam Adams, and the cheap beer, like Corona or Miller.
It's something different and just because it tastes like lemonade doesn't make it girly. While it's your opinion to have that, I think it's misguided and off based.
If you sit there and drink bud light all day to you, my hat is off to you. I can't stand that 3% alcohol content watered down bullcrap. It tastes like piss to me.
I chose to buy something different with some flavor to it so I could drink it while I'm eating. I can't drink beer and eat food at the same time.
But for you to sit there and imply that I'm soft or a girly boy is just fucking rude. If you want me to be an ass, I will be. But I'll be nice to you because your opinion is based off the fact that you've been drinking since you're 15.

James, you've made good points. I suppose my satisfaction with Miller and/or Corona had turned a bias view on me. I agree with the harder aspect as well as a flavorful side drink for a meal. I personally would prefer a Carona with a lime.

I don't think that Mikes hard or anything are "stepping stones" to stronger drinks. I like my drinks to taste like drinks, I always have. Some people don't like the taste and that's fine. Some people don't like tomatos either.
Just because a drink tastes sweet doesn't make it a "pussy" drink. It gets to a point where alcohol is alcohol. If someone offers me a Mikes hard lemonade, I'm not going to say no.

Matt got me some really pricey bourbon, about 127 proof. It is golden and beautiful and wonderful and amazing and I really have been dipping into it far too much. It goes down very, very easily.
Same thing with 151/190. I'm surprised it goes down so easy.
But it must be said: gin n' tonic wins. If I wouldn't die of malnutrition and liver failure, I'd live on g n' t.
