I don't know if I can stomach seeing it. This guy disgusts me. He is so partisan and has typically no sense of honor of presenting things factually that it is sickening. it is ironic that he would rant about capitalism when that is what gave him fame and wealth. The guy must be worth many millions or does he donate most of it??
Yep...exactly...I knew of Michael Morre when he lived in Flint and did the documnetary on GM. He's an entertainer just like limbaugh and beck.
there are two anti capitalists IMO
1. they dont like capitalism but realize they have to use that system for a living. they use it as little as possible though and do as little to enable such a system.
2. you have folks like michael moore who claim to not like capitalism and yet make millions being a capitalist.
there are plenty of film makers out there who arent millionaires and yet make films which make a point about such things as capitalism.
its like the environmental morons like gore who claim to be against global warming yet have a huge house which uses tons of resources to keep warm, light up, etc. or the idiots in earth liberation front who once burned SUVs in protest of how SUVs are such big polluters.
its one thing to preach, its another to live by your words. sadly moore says one thing but does another. gore says one thing but does another. most of these people left and right say one thing but do another.
Nobody's forcing this people's hero to keep his nasty nasty millions. He ought to keep about 35K for himself and toss the rest out of a helicopter or something. No, it ISN'T ironic because this is the system we LIVE in. And it's difficult to find a rather stable non-Capitalist system to live in, as well, so moving is out of the question (for that and for other reasons). The point is, people dissing anti-capitalists (not even saying that Moore is one, but for the sake of argument let's just use the term) for having to buy into the system to survive is a criticism that holds no ground, and it shows a lack of understanding about anti-capitalist ideologies.
And yes, you can be anti-capitalist while eating a Big Mac.
