honestly, i dont know why MF bothers with moderators, seeing how some of the biggest problems have been started by them...like the GM killer person...so she is left to moderate the moderators....and in any case, she has to babysit the trouble makers, and in turn, she becomes the bad guy...

How are members being diverted to MM? I don't see and redirects, any banners, any adds for it. The fact that people talk about the site and know of it's existance is in no way diverting members there. People talk about competing Mustang site all the time. MF is there to make a profit, MM can be considered competition... but MM was created to get away from all the bullshit that MF has to endure to make a profit (i.e. adds and banners)
Joe and Veronica don't advertise MM on MF and they are not there to steal the members. The only members that have come here are the core members that remember the good old days when it was fun to post on MF, and want to be at a site that has the energy that they have lost over there. If you don't like competition, then close the site.... or better it.

Hmm, and take the first step to becoming one of those forums that is all about oppression? Can't say I would like that. That's how it starts. Mods start filtering content they feel is tabboo, or anything that may offend anyone. They continually do this, more rules pop up, eventually religion/politics are offlimits...I have seen this happen to far too many forums.. I prefer the "grow some balls, or get the fuck out of here" atmosphere we have going. I don't like how the U.S. is the most uptight country in the world...ppl get offended by everything...just my $0.02...

Onebad83, I understand what you are saying and I agree to a point. Joe made this site as well as the new one. He isnt promoting the site to MF members. The mustang site was an idea from all the members on here. They wanted a place to go to get tech info, so joe is making a site. He didnt STEAL anything from MF. IN FACT, when joe become mod, he PM's ralph and gave some ideas for the site. They turned him down and after he leaves, they are now starting to use his ideas??.... So who is stealing from who? MF is in the process of revamping their site (with the help of HRNB) and they could of done that in the beginning when Joe came to them with the idea. That probably doesnt make much sense, but I hope you understand what I mean.

Lets just leave this topic alone then, I was the bad one that started it and i am sorry. i was very mad earlier, but all is well now.
I am not trying to bash MF. I loved that site more than anything back in the day. But it has gone down hill in certain ways. Maybe they can make a come back, we will see.

My only concern was this...Say they remove this, thinking everything would be fine and dandy. Well next week a topic comes up that stirs up the community and gets some debate going, WHAM it's closed. It was closed in hopes of no more arguing, and so no one owuld be offended. Increasingly, more and more stuff is seen as "possibly offensive", thus forming a dictated forum. Few forums are made with the intentions of being under harsh dictation, but lots end up that way. Basically you have to be strong willed and not let the "weak" shape your site and make the rules.

Well I don't think this topic hurts anything. These sites aren't connected, and no one would give two shits when I talk about how stupid the ppl at StangNet are. Ralph knows he's a vaginal discharge, so it's all good.
