Many families avoid talking about mental health. Have you faced this challenge in your home? What strategies help open respectful and supportive conversations about mental wellbeing?

We don't have a mental health stigma in the family. That's because my father suffered from depression for 10 years and we helped him over come his conditions. Our extended family also has multiple cases of mental health issues as it is an open topic.

Mental health wasn’t always openly discussed in my home. What helped was starting with small, non-judgmental conversations and sharing reliable information. Creating a calm, respectful space made it easier for others to open up without feeling criticized or misunderstood.
