There are quite a few moose & car tangles up-country every year. The headline shows it was around 100 Mile House so it's very likely it happened. Those collisions usually end in the death of the human(s) in the car.
Oh I know there are real accidents from Moose.. My cousin hit one going to Fort McMurray and it totally destroyed his car.. He had no injuries and was fine but the car he had was totalled.. That's when his company finally agreed to fly him in and out of there.
I also have a friend at 70 Mile House.. They run all over his land..
The point I was making is that Moose are as common in Canada as cows.. There are Moose and and Deer crossing signs all over and just driving up to Whistler one can see at least two of them.
