Yes but I've had lots of experience with them. I haven't had nearly as much contact with physically disable people and would moe than likely be weirded out if someone tried to give/take something with their foot. I've never been in the situation and I doubt those works have either. It's not always intentional but people do react like that.

I just don't understand why people would react this way. Its not like they are some sort of rarity in the world. Oh wow....someone who is physically handicapped....run for the hills...

I can honestly say that I've had "contact" (if you will) with one physically disable person my whole life. She was a first grader who walked one her toes and had very poor balance due to malformed muscles. Have I've seen others? Sure, at a distance or on TV. But that's not the same as interacting with the person.

Oh come now, lets not get punchy here. ;)

Sorry, but if a 20 something year old gets "shocked" from a person who has a life altering disability they are a complete moron. Also, if a dam,n foot disgusts them, they need to grow the fuck up and stop being so sensitive. Trust me, I work in the food place right now and we get PLENTY of people who have physical disabilities. Actually, there is a guy that comes in that has NO HANDS. Just nubs, yet we still treat him like a human being with dignity (something you seemed to be opposed to for some reason) and I'm not "disgusted" or "shocked" at all because I have a functioning brain that understands his situation.

Maybe they should deny people with mental disorders too, eh? Some of them look weird!!!!!!

I'm sorry, but I do not run into people with mental or physical disorders very often at all. If I was working at McDonalds and someone jabbed their foot at the window I would be shocked. It's just something you do NOT SEE very often unless you work with children who have special needs on a daily basis.

And another thing. I'm not disgusted by someone with a physical disability. I'm trying to convey to you that someone who doesn't see this often is suddenly confronted by, for all they knew, someone pulling a prank on them sticking their feet out toward the window.

You're basing your conclusions on reading the story, not putting yourself in that position.

Sure, you talked to a guy at the counter without hands. That's COMPLETELY different. He didn't shove his foot at you while handing you money at the drive through.

So, everyone needs to be trained to see that people are handicapped now? I know this one was obvious, but come on people. For once, I actually agree with James on this one. I wouldn't have served her either if she threw her foot out the window. Thats just plain disgusting. What if she had warts and fungus nails, would you people be so forgiving? She had other people in the car. I shouldn't be forced to serve you. Its a cruel world, but it is survival of the fittest.
