check out a Sleep Number bed
There are many prices and selections
I bought the 2nd cheapest one and it is just fine for me. I checked out other beds but liked the flexibility of being able to adjust the firmness. The more expensive ones have memory foam which mine does not. I figure I could always add a layer if need be.

I often wondering about the sleep number beds and if they're as good as they look on tv...I can't see me shelling out the coin to find out and be disappointed though.

there is a store not far from my house so I was able to check them out first though
as far as brands go, im not sure. But i buy strictly Euro-top mattresses!
the mattress we have now is HORRIBLE! we bought it after Ike in 08. within MONTHS of owning it (after warranty expired, surprise surprise), it started denting on where we sleep and created a huge hump in the middle! a GOOD mattress shouldnt have that problem until a good 10+ years! and its a SERTA!

We have a memory foam one (not sure of the brand but I don't think it's on of the big ones) and we love it.

We've had a Nautilus sleep system bed for over 10 years. Best money we've ever spent. Sadly, you can't get them any longer. The closest to it is the Select Comfort. We liked the Nautilus instead of SC because there wasn't a divider in the king. The mattresses just butt up against each other.

I have a super cheap memory foam mattress that is FANTASTIC. It's just the right firmness and I never wake up sore from it. If I were to have to get a new mattress I'd go with a select comfort for sure. Those beds as phenomenal, although expensive up front. However they last much longer than a normal mattress (20 years vs 10 years), so they're not really as expensive as you might think.
If you do go for a normal mattress do not get a pillow top. It doesn't matter what brand it is... it's going to sink down where you sleep.

never my experience with one! well, except for the one we own now. But ive slept on a eurotop for years, and ive never had it happen to me!

I am getting a new mattress next time I move... I like my mattress to be relatively firm (not painfully so lol), so IDK if I'd like a tempurpedic...
Try one out. There a dream. I am firm everytime I lay down on one. :ninja
