which is why im sitting here bitching....so i dont go nag him and drive him crazy. lol. thanks for listening guys. and good advice.
Im not sure if this was said already, BUT, if he doesnt want to go thru the hassle of planning a wedding or whatnot, why not just go to the courthouse then have a party afterwards?
I wish me and Joe would of waited to get married. WE got married for the wrong reason. Luckily its working out right now, but we have gone threw alot of ROUGH things.. So, if I was you, I would wait alittle longer until you can see for yourself if he is gonna change or turn into something that you dont want. Men (sorry guys) can be alittle pigheaded and you may want to know how pigheaded before you get hitched. I hope this makes sense. I dont know yalls relationship, so I dont know how yall are together, Im just saying you may want to wait alittle longer before getting hitched.

yeah...i mean we have been through rough times too. I won't go into detail, but the reason I moved in with him was because I didn't have a place to live at the time..we had only been dating about 2 months, but he didn't want to see me in a shelter or far away from him so he let me move in with him. Shortly after we were evicted from the apartment and again had nowhere to go. It was just really hard times...but we were troopers, and so happy to be together. If it had been either one of us by ourselves in that situation I don't know if we'd be as well off as we are today...we depended on each other, and helped each other until we could get back on our feet. So moving in with him probably wasn't the smartest relationship choice I could have made, but it was at the time a necessary one, and I don't regret it for a second. We have been through everything together it seems. I love him to pieces. I guess remembering all that we've been through makes me feel a little bit selfish for being impatient about marriage now though...I just wish I had a definite answer. Even if he said "ok, but in 2 years" that would be good enough for me. I just don't like the indefinite waiting game.

With me and my husband I have noticed that if I want a serious answer to something, then I email him because I have always gotten a true answer. If I was to talk about something serious face to face, we either end up arguing or not even getting any kind of answer whatsoever.
We have been married 9 yrs and we have been through some ROUGH times together. In fact, we got into a really huge fight about a month ago and we both said some things to each other that really hurt us bad. He had told me that the only reason he married me was because I got pregnant. I know that was a lie because we were already engaged when I found out I was pregnant. Had we had been together for 3 yrs before I got pregnant.
I wouldnt rush him because he may just say or do something to save face from arguing.

i love emailing him. but he just started a new job last week and apparently has no free time whatsoever so i dont wanna bug him at work. if he got an email from me at home he wouldnt answer it because id be home with him lol : / he doesnt really understand the point.
The longest i have ever dated any man without them begging to get married is a fortnight - [no, i am not joking] - my advice - step back, stop asking anything off him - get more independant and stop treating him like he is 'everything to you' - why chase or want to possess someone that is already so possessed and chained and loyal.
Its a bit like getting a license for a dog you keep on a chain in the garden - no need...

I think it really depends on the people. Some feel that marriage is really important, others feel otherwise.
My ex-wife constantly pushed to get married, and obviously, I caved. I resented her for that.
With Le, I have the opposite problem. I'm all for getting married soon, but he's basically holding up a giant sign that says NOT YET. Some people just don't feel so rushed about it, I guess. I don't doubt that Le would get married if it were really that important to me, but I respect his feelings on this issue.
You probably know what would happen if you laid down an ultimatum... you know your lover better than most. So it's up to you as to whether that's a good idea or not.

You have a great point there. I see too many women catering to men and then they wounder why after they get married that it is expected of them.
The goal is to get him for the long term, not just get him.
