Poop that just gave me a great idea. In the middle of one of our fields I've got this great big pile of brush which consists of the remnants of about 10 walnut trees, two something medium sized maple trees and some other shit that I cut down last year and I've only been able to get about 1/2 of it burned up because it's been so wet. I'm gunna get the tractor and make a decent pile again with the bucket and huck one of them mofo's into the middle. That otta do it. :24: Thanks for the brilliant idea. :thumbup

Disclaimer: They just put the burning ban in place as of June 1 so I have to wait until the end of September but I'll get 'er done.

Be sure to take pics....if you know how:ninja;)

:24: I was feeling a bit nostalgic the other night, bought some PBR and after the first drink I remember why I drank it when I was young.

Because it was CHEAP. It tasted as nasty the other night as it did when I was 17 lol Not gonna make that mistake again. I ended up giving almost a case of it to my neighbor.

Drink PBR and you'll be the king of the Hershey Squirts. :D That's about all I can remember of my one time tryst with it many moons ago. Nothing like a cheap Canadian on vacation in the USA. :24:

True dat.;)

have you tried the old "WD40 flamethrower" to light your bonfire?

No I haven't tried that. I usually mix gas and diesel 50/50 and spread it on the pile. Then I light a pre-made torch and huck it in from about 20 paces. Only one time did I mix a tad too much and it just about knocked me off my feet. :eek Another time I was a bit too close and smelled the distinct odor of burnt hair. :yuk I never did find out if it was my head, beard or arm hair that got singed. That's why I like Poop's mantorch so much. It should be a hell of a lot safer.

we used to gather up a shit load of leaves behind a split rail fence in the back yard that separated the yard from the woods

we would end up with a pile that was probably 3-4' high 8' deep and about 150' long

one day the old man decided to burn it

so he poured gas on the length of it

I swear the entire pile lifted off the ground at least 3' and of course there was a rather impressive sound that went with it

The thing is that the torch lasts only about ten seconds.
I would suggest a series of them for a longer lasting effect.

Wouldnt it have already been combusting? A friend here nearly lost her whole property form a compost heap that wasnt checked.....she lost 2 sheds and a barn.
