We use a shared task chart and rotate chores weekly, it reduced friction.
How do you divide housework in your household?

We don't divide, we do what is to be done. For instance, if it is lunch time and my partner is busy with something, I start cooking.

We share home chores. Whoever cooks the other cleans the kitchen. We work together on the bigger projects. We both like to cook. I am a griller or use the crockpot. She is the better all around cook.

Managing housework smoothly needs clear roles and teamwork. I tried splitting chores with roommates by a shared schedule, no confusion, fewer fights. Open communication about preferences and fairness helps everyone feel respected and keeps arguments away.
