yes thats true and ive dealt with such an allegation first hand. its different when a parent WALKS in ON it happening rather than all after the fact which is why this particular case is different. he was in the right to protect his child and i cant even say its a shame things went to far. though i do feel bad that the father feels bad about it

Correct, every parents have the right to protect their children, its natural to protect the ones you love. How people go about it, is another matter

Personally - I think it's a tough call. Yeah...anyone would want to kill if someone was harming their child and I guess the grand jury heard more than we did to justify not investigating the matter any further, but, I don't know, is it a prescedent? What's the long-term harm in such a matter, legally-speaking?

I don't fault the guy for doing what he did, not one bit, but I'm just trying to look at it from a legal standpoint.

Perhaps they should have called in the special prosecutor that prosecutes anything....as in Zimmermans case
There are people on record saying that any homicide needs an arrest and trial {not my position ..but just thought I would toss that out there};)

We must remember as well that Zimmerman was getting beat and his head smashed into the sidewalk.
This guy here/ a simple beating with his fists and he dies.........which would show that Zimmermans life was in danger...couldnt help but toss that out there as well.

As I said earlier though...the entire thing sounds a little odd and I think there is more to the story

No offense, guys, but this thread isn't about Zimmerman. There's 873 threads about Zimmerman...we can discuss him in those. ;)

I'm not dragging out my family business, but I can promise you that there is one sick motherfucker in this world who, if I could get my hands on him, wouldn't hurt another young girl EVER. I hope he's getting bent over every single night in prison and I hope it hurts.

There are many good reasons why that fictitious character named Jesus promoted "turning the other cheek".

Violence begets violence.

I chose to work w/ a good friend of mine who is a US Marshal (he just happened to catch the case) and bring him to justice instead. Admittedly, probably only b/c I didn't run into him beforehand.

Perhaps, but there are similarities in both cases where someone ended up dead.

Instead of a young black man being shot though we have a little girl perhaps being raped.

Exactly how many times was the dead man hit? At what point did the man defend his daughter and cross over to intentionally killing a man due to his anger? Because everyone can put themselves in the fathers shoe's, it perfectly fine that no matter how many times the father hit the man until he killed him, it's ok.

Kind of like shooting someone in self defense. They go down with you shooting them, hey, self defense. You go up to the guy you shot lying on the ground and put two more rounds into his head, it crosses over to murder.

Again, no offense, but I stay out of the P&D section for a reason. Not EVERYTHING has to be a debate.

And, I apologize, but I didn't read all of your post.

In after thought in how I would react, I think I'd cut off their hands, tongue, and pecker if I caught them hurting my kids.

I don't do with the whole, violence begets violence when it comes to some things such as harming children. The law doesn't do enough to keep these sick fucks from doing it again... they end up "helping" them and releasing them back to society... in which most cases... do it again.

And end up harming innocent people? There have been and always will be cases where innocent people are accused of such crimes. People have spent time in jail, not only that, castigated from society and even harmed as a result. Justice isn't perfect for them either

Well, yeah if Thorny caught them, fair enough she would do what I think most would do

And that's all I was saying :p

I am aware people get falsely accused and tricked... we had a neighbor (moved now) he had sex with a 16 year old who he thought was 22. He was 37 at the "crime", he met her in a bar, she had a fake ID; he got whatever the parents threw at him. When they should of been tanning their precious teen.

She probably wouldn't do jack shit and she would be lucky enough to get busted over her head LOL

People talk about all this bad shit they would do to other people without ever realizing exactly what it takes to cut through the bone of something living.

People like to say this kind of crap because it makes THEM feel like they've done something.

There is a reason the law is without emotion. When the average citizen takes the law into their own hands and kills another and the population agrees with the action it took to kill, we become no better than those religious right winged nuts in the sandbox who would stone a woman to death for cheating.

This is true, when it comes down to it I don't think it is ever acceptable to intentionally kill someone.
