Something like that happened here. The father ended up doing time. Only because some neighbor heard the man plead for his life before he wad shot.

Personally I hope nothing happens to the father, and that the little girl does not suffer too much emotional garbage because of that douche bag.

I would have done the same thing the father did.

Some time ago a man did the same thing AFTER it was reported to him by his own family member.

Turns out the guy who was killed DID NOT molest the fathers daughter.

Don't get me wrong, I understand why the father did what he did, but he still took the law into his own hands, and for better or worse, that has to be WRONG.

I'm never in favor of wild west vigilante justice, but I don't think that is what happened here. Truly it seems (and I could easily be way off base) he reacted to the immediate threat with more force than anyone expected. I don't think we ever know how we'd react to something like that. Sounds like parental instincts.

I hope they don't try the father. I do NOT think he deserves any jail time I am very prejudiced on this matter, however and could not sit on a jury on this type of case. This subject makes me see red and I would probably have killed the man myself..........

I remember a case YEARS ago (hell, probably 15 - 20 years ago now) where a guy found out his friend had been molesting his daughter. I remember the father being interviewed and saying that he asked his friend, while pointing a gun at his head, if he had done what he was accused of. The man admitted to it and asked what they were going to do now and the father said "we're going to pray. You're going to pray for forgiveness for what you did to my daughter and I'm going to pray for forgiveness for what I'm about to do to you." If I remember correctly, he was not convicted for shooting and killing the guy.

I have no tolerance for pedophiles...I hope it was slow and painful and I hope he's rotting in hell reliving every single moment of it.

He did what most any parent would have done. It happened if front of a witness and he only used his hands. He did society a favor.

AND he showed remorse. That's going to be the clincher right there...it'll be what keeps the grand jury from proceeding any further w/ this case.

This apparently happened while the assault was in progress, and the guy beat him to death in the course of defending his daughter. In that sort of situation you're overcome by rage, understandably so, and the guy will likely not be charged by a grand jury given both of those factors.

THIS is where the circumstances align to justify the consequences. This man has all of the mitigating factors that are missing from the Zimmerman case.

Zimmer-who??? Oh, that's right...I forgot the rest of the world is still obsessed w/ it...I long ago forgot about caring that anybody was dead, arrested, or anything else regarding that case. Insensitive??? Maybe. But at least I'm honest.

And that's the biggest tragedy of this whole mess. The fact that his daughter witnessed a man being beat to death.

I wonder which event will haunt her more in the years to come.

I'm not saying he was wrong or right, just that his daughter shouldn't have had to witness that.

Sounds a little odd.
Here you are looking for your daughter.
I assume there will be yelling etc for her.
The father just stumbles upon them and the guy is in the act...little unlikely.
Dont get me wrong I am not defending the pervert....but IMO there are more unanswered questions here than the Zimmerman case.
