A majority of our respective team's pitchers report to camp in less than two weeks.

Who is stoked? I can't wait for Baseball to start. :D

Red Sox look like the Dead Sox unless they do some major house cleaning. The (gulp) Yankees will still rule until the Sox and the rest of the East get a move on and start spending...

Our 40 man roster isn't looking so hot either.

It's not terrible, but the front office, doesn't know how to buy "big bats" and that kills me.

Yes well you watch them Yankees though. Once all their aging players start to retire in the next few years, they are going ot suck once again :24:

Eh. What?

I'm a Giants fan, PJ is a Red Sox fan, you're apparently an Orioles fan, and Porterjack is a Red Sox fan too.

So? Who is the Yankees fan? :p

yes, but lets hope the rest of the east goes through a youth movement and push the Spankees down to the cellar.

I am looking forward to seeing how Cabrerra does at 3rd base. They gave up on him playing there when he first came to the Tigers and I guess I missed him being so terrible. He has one of the best arms in the game so even though he is slow he can make up for it a bit with the arm. I can see him handling bunts being a problem. But I will trade his stroke for Inges pathetic bat any day.

Prince Fielder looks like a good pick up for you guys.

We're in serious rebuilding mode right now. I don't expect us to be competitive until next year at the earliest. That being said, Starlin Castro will most likely make the All-Star game and compete for the batting title again. He's about the only player on the team worth keeping aside from maybe Garza (unless we get good value back), Marmol (if he returns to form), and maybe Soto. Pretty much everyone else is expendable, and maybe Soriano will remember how to play again so we can trade him away.

It's being taken care of by the commissioner's office. Obsessed much? the Red Sox were asking for our top starter, it's no small wonder that no deal had been made.

Theo would've been gone next year anyway, you guys don't deserve all that much.

Could you imagine the heart of the line up if Martinez had not messed up his knee

Wonder who will get the Cuban Centipede? That is what they are calling the guy who defected. I am surprised the Yanks and Sox have not been hot after him. It would be a gamble but no more so than some of the big money spent on Japanese pitchers.

Interesting, I haven't really been following the baseball offseason all that much this year. Just came across the fact that the Cubs look to have signed Gerardo Concepcion out of Cuba to a $7 million deal. If he pans out, he could pay some serious dividends for our starting rotation in a few years. There's also thought that the Cubs could be a serious player to get Yoenis Cespedes (which would be huuuuge), and/or Jorge Soler as a result of getting Concepcion, and having a good number of other Spanish speaking players (Soriano, Castro, Marmol, Mateo, and Soto; among others).
