alot of people want these exterminated from british waters because they're not a british species and they're devastating fish stocks

Amazing capture of the cormorant's expression on that face and color of it's eyes. Reminds me of a good looking dude with blue eyes and the confidence it portrays...thabbza-point.gif

Cormorants are native to Britain, it's just the've been coming inland more and more in the last 20 odd years, especially in winter. I've had them fly over my flat and we get them in the town pond, I've even seen one sitting in a tree down the river. Wouldn't surprise me if they start raiding garden ponds soon.

It's the same here Peter. They used to only hang out at the ocean which is about 30 miles away but in the last few years more of them have been showing up in fresh water areas.
