Lost My dog

As some of you know, yesterday I had an electric fence put up.. Well, they couldnt get it working properly, so they unplugged it for now.. (they are coming tomorrow to finish it).. Well... I let Cocoa out to go potty while i went to pick the boys up from school because they were sick (we all are still sick).. Well, when I get home, I couldnt find cocoa ANYWHERE! Purty was still in the yard (my sisters dog).. but cocoa was gone. I searched the neighborhood, but still couldnt find her.. I ended up calling one of my deputies, telling him that cocoa was gone.. He alerted all the animal control agencies in the area and started looking for my dog.. Still no luck. well about an hour ago, I got a call from my old apt complex.. There was a lady there with Cocoa. She found my dog at the Kroger.. ( a good 2-3 miles away!) She took her to the vet and had her scanned (my dog has a microchip in her) but my address was still saved as my old one...

I realized today how much my dog means to me.. She has been there for me when I was crying myself to sleep.. she would never leave my side. :( Thank god there is good citizens still left in this world!

Both our dogs are chipped just in case!

Found a Welsh Border collie out one day and took it to the vet to get the chip read. Then drove round to drop it off at it's house. I like to think that if one of ours went missing that someone would do the same for us.

Thank goodness. When I saw your headline I thought you lost her in that she died.
Thank God that wasn't the case and she's alright.

So she went to pay a visit to your old house eh? What a ting.
Hey, that's a really good idea with the microchip thing-a-me-jig.

Anyways, glad to hear you have her back.
One thing tho. When you say "electric fence", do you mean as in that the fence would be electrically charged so that if it is touched you would get shocked?

Glad you got your dog back. Both of my dogs have a chip. I haven't had to use it as of yet and I hope I never have to, but I do know that the can be found if someone scans them.

It's amazing how much a dog can mean to you, they may not be able to speak english but they can sure make you feel better then a human sometimes.

We went on a holiday a while ago, and we had our dog at a friends house, he escaped and then they put a notice up on a site saying our dog has gone missing, they got a phone call saying they had found him. He ran about 10km away!! Lucky we have him, he's my bestfriend lol.. Sad I know!
