I got a phone call this evening from Bailey. Not sure if you all are familiar with Bailey, but they are a company who makes Cowboy hats and shirts. They want to sponsor me in a rodeo in Feb. They are willing to offer me $4,600 to just wear their colors and that is free and clear. I told them I was too old to do that anymore and they said to me which I tell everyone "Cowboy Up". lol They are also going to give me a hat and I have to wear a patch on my vest which says Bailey. Woooopeeeee! Bailey is not a top of the line as far as western wear, but the $4,600 doesn't sound bad. The only problem is it is a $2,000 entry fee. So if I could win I could make $62,000 or just make the $4,600 which minus the $2,000 for the entry fee I would only make $2,600 for the 4 days. I am guessing that that isn't bad. Plus, even if I don't take the buckle, I could end up with some good cash as they pay the cowboys on down the line as to where they finish.

I tried to negotiate that part of it SRC. That comes out of my pocket. Entry fee is not a problem. The problem is this cowboy wanted to just teach Bull Riding. I have a son I want to rodeo like I do.
Livvy that is my colt Gulliver.

He is as tame as a dog. I did have to bite his ear once to get his attention. If you bite a horses ear you will have his full attention as he will bend the front legs and listen. I only had to do it once and now he knows who is in charge.

I bit my dogs tail once because he snapped at me (I was 6), he never did it again either.

A horse has nerves that if you bite thier ear they will bend and you have full control of them. Like I said I only had to do it once to this colt.

This colt has never been ridden. He has had saddle blankets and a saddle on him. He will be ready to ride in March and I am willing to bet I can break him in about 4 hours or less. My paint took me about 2 weeks to break, but that was due to the time I had to work with him. He is as stubborn as I am so that was a challenge. Now he is my best friend and he is a good working horse. He likes to run like the wind though. I am going to use him for my roping horse once I crawl off those damn bulls.
