So a man goes down to the dock in hopes of catching some Lobster. It's off-season but the man insists on catching himself some dinner!
He lowers the trap, waits a couple minutes and reels in the trap, only to find a nice, big juicy lobster in the trap.
Just as he has caught the lobster and thrown the trap back in the water, a police officer strolls over, "Sir, you know it's not lobster season, I'm going to have to give you a fine and take you down to the station for a court date."
The man, who is extremely frantic, replies "Oh officer! You are mistaken, this is my pet lobster. His name is Fred. I can prove it."
The officer, slightly hesitant says, "Okay sir, but I find out you're lying, I'm taking you and the lobster in!"
The man gently puts his new little buddy down on the dock, "Fred, sit!"
The lobster lays still on the dock.
The unimpressed officer - "Sir, I'm going to need more proof than that."
The man looks down at his lobster, "Fred, STAY!"
The lobster doesn't move an inch.
The officer - "Sir, this is ridiculous, pick up your lobster, you and him are coming to the station with me!"
The man says, "No, no. Okay. I can really prove it. Fred will come to me when I call him!"
The officer, who is now curious agrees.
The man throws Fred back into the ocean. Silence..... silence....
The officer says, "Well, aren't you going to call for your lobster?"
The man says, "Lobster? what lobster?"
