five stars, excellent writing. Dark, accurate, tough gritty and compelling.:clap

And an outstanding host of accomplished actors:clap

I gave it a fair shot :p

I have not managed to find many women that like it. I'm not really sure that's the demographic they were aiming for.

My wife only likes it because she loved Micheal Imperioli in Sopranos, beyond that she is in line with almost every other woman I have talked to, they don't dig it....Not enough emphasis on female empowerment:p

No, it has nothing to do with that for me really.
I love the whole man power thing really....it appeals to my inner sub ;)
But I found it just totally boring!

Whatever the reasoning is...The show hasn't appealed to really any women for one reason or another.

I mean House isn't really action packed...For that matter it is boring too...But cleverly written.

That's what I am really saying, it's about writing and acting for me

The Brit version (with one of my favourite actors, John Simm) was WINZ all round.

Also won "best end of series" in some poll or other!

I have not yet seen the US version though

The british version when it was on I have to admit was good, didn't watch it a lot, but it was good.

:nanners:

I think you have to truly put the show into perspective, era and staging.

New York, in the 70's

Oh, another remake of a classic British show. Ffs, what's wrong with the origional that you have to remake it?

Cool - I'll check it out.

Reminds me a bit of Journeyman - really pissed me of when they took it off after the first season :willy_nilly:
