Obama is definitely living up to my expectations. But I can tell you that if I could go back in time, I would still vote for him over McCain. And Obama is still worlds better than Bush when it comes to following the constitution.
So one of your expectations for a president is to further plunge us into eternal debt?

I missed the not in the above statement. He is Not living up to my expectations.

Obama is by far the biggest liar

When he signs this bullshit Obamacare he will have outdone anybody in history as far as being a liar

Where is the lie. What are you basing your statement on?

What Palin has said is way overblown. She's not dumb.

I'd argue that she is. Maybe clueless is a better term. She has a lot to learn about the world she lives in.

She is attractive, smart and has charisma

She scares the shit out of the left so they go after her
Would I support her. Nope

But it speaks volumes about the left how they demonize her

I don't know why people keep saying this. She doesn't scare me at all. What does scare me is that there are enough idiots out there that would vote a drone like her to president of the united states.

So one of your expectations for a president is to further plunge us into eternal debt?

That's right, eternal debt. :sarcasm

He's doing exactly the things that I knew he would...Which is why I would never vote for him to begin with.

It's great he's living up to the Liberal agenda...What about the other half of the country?

And don't give me the "Well Bush" because I didn't like him either;)

Sarah Palin shouldn't be a threat to the Liberals...Because she's soooooo stupid. But she sure has become a HUGE burr in the asses of Democrats :24: I say she wins...If for any other reason because people are still talking about her. And frankly I have enjoyed her book so far. Even better than "If Deomcrats had any brains, they'd be Republicans" and that one had me laughing for hours.

Tim I said Obama is a liar because he said the health care debate would be in the open. He also said he would let a bill wait 5 days before signing it so people could read it.

This bull shit turd is now over 2700 pages long. They tacked on a 300+ page amendment the other night.

They could have kept things simple. Just raise taxes 20% and expand medicare to everybody with no pre existing conditions. Of course nobody would accept that big of a tax. Instead they are going to illegally fine people for not buying health care.

I was beside myself when he said they'll give five days to read a 2700 page book with a font size of 4
"Ok we need the bill back"
"fuck you i'm stuck on page 12" :24:

You do realize that bills are written with extra wide margins for notes, it's double spaced for even more notes and they use a large font (for the old and decrepit members). There are anywhere between 150-200 words per page.

Now lets compare that to the specifications I just received for a hospital renovation.
4,802 pages printed both sides, 500 words per page average. And then there are the 1,098 pages of full size architectural prints at 42"x30"
This project is one building being added to a hospital complex at a cost of $600,000.00
I don't have a staff of people pouring over all this documentation for me. I have to read every last page to make sure I am pricing it out correctly.

And you guys bitch over 2700 pages of double spaced, wide margin large type, which if it was printed in book form would be less than 600 pages. I guess it's easy when you don't have any perspective...

I agree with you about McCain & said as much in a different thread today.

Not that Bush was within miles of his job description eithe, but in what way is Obama following the Constitution at all???

Bump for Tim's response. :)

Have you ever considered going into politics Tim? Because you seem to be exceedingly gifted at talking down to people like you think they're idiots. That seems to be a prerequisite for serving in Congress or as President these days.

To list the ways he is following the constitution would be too numerous. You need to list the ways that he is violating the constitution. It's like asking me to list the ways I am following the law, you need to ask which laws I am breaking.

It's not about talking down to anyone, but if you say something stupid that misrepresents the facts, expect me to put it into perspective.

How many times do we need to hear about the thousands of pages that are in this bill? So fucking what? What teeth can any new law have when it's written on a few pages? How many legal loop holes would exist without writing it the way they do. Writing any law is about using exacting language. This is the first thing they teach you in law school.

Tim the point is not the size of the bill but the pace with it being moved thru the system. That is too lengthy to parse in the limited time. The devil is in the details and the process used to shove this thing down our throats is nothing more than partisan crap. The republicans would do the same thing. I don't know you can defend it.

Not that I 100% understand this debate going on here.... but whether it's 500 words a page or 50 words a page, 2700 pages is still a hell of a lot to read and understand in under 5 days.

specially when it is in legalese

because you have places where things are referred back to another section.

Timothy it is not just a simple matter to read thru these bills. The ones I have had to deal with were at most 20 or 30 pages and you get a headache by the time you are done reading them.

Words have meaning and every word in these bills is there for a reason.

Simple Tim, if they wanted a no-brainer passage through Senate, it should have been:

A. Pork FREE

B. Clearly transparent

C. In the open like promised.

This is landmark legislation, this isn't something you try to pass of the sly. I could have written the bill in one page....Wanna see it.....Wait for it...Her it goes...No wait...

EXPAND FUCKING MEDICARE FOR ALL UN-INSURED LEGAL US CITIZENS
