Lets hear stories of speeding tickets you got out of!

So I'll start. I have several. One of which I posted here already so I won't repeat.

I have 4 stories, all during my days in the Marine Corps.

I was stationed in Memphis, TN when I was first in. This is when Iraq first invaded Kuwait, back in 1990. I used to commute back and forth to Michigan since all my friends were there during weekends. This was a 12 hour drive.

I was popped in TN for doing 97 in 55. Showed military Id with drivers license and was let go.

I was popped in KY for doing 104 in a 65. It was 2am and the officer was handed my military Id and driver's license. He handed them back to me and in a backwoods KY accent said, "Son, we have deer in these parts, you're gonna need to slow it down some".

I was popped in OH for doing 79 in a 60. Cop let me go after showing military Id with DL.

I was popped in MI for doing 80 in a 55. Cop reduced it to 59 in a 55 after seeing my military Id and DL. He was not so friendly.

All in all, I have been very lucky. I would love to hear stories of how you talked your way out of a ticket. Especially the ladies, these could be interesting.

Mine are all from the Marine Corps too, but I'll only tell one.

In May I was driving from VA in the 'Stang. Somewhere in northern NC, I hooked up with this little old guy in a beautiful new Mercedes SL500. So we were just taking turns fucking around. I had to get gas so he stopped with me.

Turns out he was a retired Air Force guy, told me he still went by "Major Moody". Cool dude, talked for a few minutes and took off. He was going to Georgia, so we were racing the whole way.

In SC (it was dark) a State Trooper pulled me over (Major Moody was about 100 yards back). Let's just say the law in SC says 25mph over the limit and you go to jail.

I was doing roughly 37 over. Major Moody pulled over behind the cop. Told him my wife was having a baby and we were trying to get down to Florida.

I didn't know what happened, the cop just came up to me, gave me a ticket for exactly 25mph over and said to slow down.

Next time we pulled over, Major Moody told me what he told the cop. I couldn't stop laughing! :24:
 
I have no stories as such. Been yanked 3 times, been ticketed every time.

Ticket 1: 53/35
Ticket 2: 40/25 (yeah residential road, but at midnight it was dead)
Ticket 3 & 4: 63/35 Speeding and reckless driving ticket all at once. The limit had just dropped and I had just sped up being a teenage dumbass with road rage.

last ticket was January of 01.
 
I used to have a POS '72 Maverick. After boot camp you get 10 days of leave to go home. My brake lights were out, but I didn't really care. About 2am I was going home from my girlfriends house.

I stopped at a stop sign, then went. Next thing I know I was getting pulled over. The cop said I didn't stop because my brake lights didn't flash.

I didn't wanna say "Yeah, they're broke dumbass", so I told him I just rolled through cuz it was so early. I handed him my brand new military ID, he said "How long you been in the Marines".

I was like "2 days sir."

He couldn't stop laughing for at least 2 or 3 minutes. Turns out he was retired Navy. I got out of that one. :D
 
I have honestly never had a speeding ticket in my life. Nor, have I ever been in an accident. I hope this thread doesn't jynx me. I do drive faster than the speed limit though.
 
Ive only gotten out of one, and it was by pure recklessness on the coppers behalf

I was on My provisional Liscense i was about 19 i think Me and a few girlfriends were pulling out of a popular Nightclub in the area and saw a copper sitting at the lights waiting to go through, I knew he was going to pull me over as i was on my provisionals and I was young enough and stupid enough to drive especially out of a nightclub at 4am.
The copper pulled me over to the side of the road and asked me to count to 10 in the lil breath tester thingy I did and it wasnt good enough, so he asked again... the whole time looking in the car to see how many passengers i had etc.
I think i may have counted to at least 40 before he could get a decent reading.
Heading from a nightclub the three of us had revealing clothing on and the copper got distracted by my passengers enough to drop the Breathliser on the road next to the car,It shattered. he picked up the peieced and got up so embarassed that he was busted checking us out that he told us to have a nice evening and drive saftley, i didnt even get to see what my reading was LOL

no it's more like .. I'm usually quite sassy with them if they pull me over .

Their line of questioning irritates me to no end.

#1. it's not your business where I'm going or where I've been.

#2. yes it's my fucking car, you ran my tag before you walked to my car .. did you NOT just read my DL? asshole

#3. don't ask me if I know what I did .. that's just being a prick .. either write the GD ticket or GTFO.

haha Livvy. I have gotten plenty of tickets...Probably at least 10 or so. I just told about the times I got out of them ;)

In North Carolina, its easy to pay a lawyer $250 for him/her to get your speeding ticket reduced to "improper equipment", which doesn't even show on your driving record. However they did just pass a new law here to not allow speeding over the posted speed limit by 25MPH to be reduced to improper equipment. Thank goodness for cruise control... I just have to do the math...24 + whatever the posted speed limit is ;)
