The Idea of having a poetry contest has come up Soooo

It is up to the people who post here as to this suggestion

Do you like the Idea of having a poetry Contest?

And would you yourself Participate in it??

Let me know, and I will proceed with the Request by making a thread available strictly for entrys. and a time limit.

Today is Sunday, I will give this Thread till Friday.

I want everyone's opinion on this so please respond.

I don't see why not. I'd probably participate. I don't think any of us here are viscious or anything, so I can't imagine it getting out of hand.

Maybe it would encourage more feedback on poetry, as well?

I thought of doing the Poll, But seeing as how its actually 2 Questions, I figured I would just leave as a write in.. Plus I hate when people just vote and dont reply as to their vote :ninja

I think i would try to participate. I rarely share what I write, and its nowhere near as good as some of the things Ive seen here, but i feel that writing is theraputic. It might help me out.

I like the idea. I've had an appreciation for all the "works" people have posted so far. Such diversity and so much effort, it's wonderful and I look forward to reading more.

I'd like to participate, though I'm not sure it would be on a weekly basis.

I dont think it would be a Weekly thing, People dont always have the time to involve in that, And I would like to If we do this to just allow people to spend time thinking or reading, rather then on a short time limit.

a everybody vote ..everybody submits their poem bya certain time..then everybody on the forum votes on a favorite..

Yes, What I would do is make an entry thread, with a time limit for entry's .. and then just make a poll thread for the entry's to allow the votes.

I think that would be most fair then people are more willing to vote if they are not Required to say why they prefered the particular poem.

How does that sound? Ok?

I am open to thoughts and suggestions on this.

I have another Idea that I also want to do, But I will wait on that till I see how this goes.

seriously, i like the thought of a poetry contest. i might not participate with an entry much, or vote many times, but ill peek into here more often, which might get my fingers to type something of some worth...
