I guess I'm for it. It'll save tax payers money to not have to prosecute these habitual offenders.

But then where does it stop? Do we legalize Cocaine and regulate it?

Do we legalize PCP and regulate it? Do we legalize Ecstacy and regulate it?

A lot of these drugs are illegal for a reason, some are actually harmful or fatal if too much is taken.

People that are addicted will have a free ride if it's legalized. They'll buy and do as much as they want, end up at the ER without insurance costing taxpayers money.

It's just a vicious circle, IMO... one way or another, taxpayers money will be spent on drug abuse and recovery purposes.

legalize it.
let the ones who use it recreationally, use it.
those addicted and od'ers will eventually kill themselves.
and the government will make money out of it.
which may lessen the amount of taxes to pay in the first place.
which makes it a win-win-win situation : government, users, and non-users (lesser taxes)

yeah, marijuana isn't addictive, and it won't kill you from o/d. i has the same amont of cancer-causing shit as do cigs, but do you really smoke more than 2 joints a day? pot can substitute real drugs, like alcohol, cocaine, heroin, meth, all that evil shit. hell, just look at holland.

I think they should legalise it, but no one should go around thinking that there is nothing wrong with it.

Just like a lot of drugs it puts poisons into your body that can have serious repurcussions for some people - there is enough evidence to link it to brain & soft tissue damage.

...but that is true of a lot of drugs, especially the legal ones, such as alcohol.

The real reason why it will probably never be legalised is that you can't tax it - it grows on trees & requires no processing.

most people who smoke pot like the feel and aren't looking for harder drugs for an even more hi so to speak......goverment could sell licences for it's growth and if you illegally growing it your treated the same as a bootlegger with liquar.....places of work can still test you go it and not hire you because of it.... the taxes would be hugh $$$$ and $$$ saved by less people in jail and murders would go into a small decline......thier is big $$$ in fighten drug..many of politians had made millions..they don't care about the ang. person...
