Last time I mowed

Man, things have been dry and hot lately.

Just finished up mowing around the house, and the cut height has been 5".

Last time I mowed previously was June 23rd, and it was cut at 5" even back then.

Anyone else having grass that isn't growing?

We are abutted to a hayfield. We have Bahai grass no matter what we do. The Bermuda is almost dead. I am mowing once a week just to keep the cows away.

I mowed my grass about ten days ago and it still looks okay but we have rain on the way.

We aint been able to cut the grass cos it's been far too wet. It looks like a jungle.

We have or had these tall stick like weeds with q-tipped tops...about a inch.
They were here and there all over the yard and front.
I mowed just to have it looking neat including what grass is growing.
The local weather is predicting rain by Wednesday afternoon with a cool down...most welcomed.

My next door neighbor cuts our grass for us in exchange for homemade macaroni and cheese. :24:

Winter here, haven't mowed since the first frost about 6 weeks ago.

We haven't needed to mow in about a month. The yard has been terribly dry. However, we have been getting scattered showers everyday for the past week now. Our riding mower is tiny and doesn't work when the grass is the slightest bit damp. We tried mowing it today and....it died. Smoke starting coming from the mower. I don't know what to do now. We don't have the money at this point to buy a new one and the back yard is half done. Eeek! I am sure the neighbors love us. Hah!

We are so dry I have only mowed once since the middle of June. That was mostly to cut the weed tops down. Normal year I would have already mowed the pasture by now but it is totally brown.
