Last film you watched

The Island.

I was pleasantly surprised. Having watched it, it really felt like a kinda weird mix between Gattaca and Transformers - the effects, sound and explosions could have been a scene from Transformers in places. Guess it's apparent where Michael Bay's style for Transformers came from. Seems he was practicing in this movie. Overall, the storyline I felt was good - that of oppression and justice and I came away having enjoyed the movie.

Based on the number of times I have watched this movie over the last couple of years, it must be one of my favorites. It does have some parallels to Logan's Run.

We are going to see a movie today and it will be a coin toss between POTC:On Strange Tides and XMen.

Recently we watched, I am Number Four about aliens living on Earth. It was watchable but only worthy of rental. And Surrogateshttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0986263/, a mostly forgettable Bruce Willis movie, the setting is people living their lives at home on the couch linked to their surrogate robots who are out and about in the real world. Of course all surrogates are young and beautiful. The conflict is when two surrogates are destroyed with a weapon that manages to kill the operator at home.

The Exterminating Angel - Spanish/English subtitles

"After a lavish dinner party, the guests find themselves mysteriously unable to leave the room... and over the next few days all the elaborate pretenses and facades that they've built up by virtue of their position in society collapse completely as they become reduced to living like animals..."

Luis Buñuel chops the hell out of the upper class and the church.

Its a great spoof. :thumbup
