Last film you watched

FINE. Well someday I'll get to see it.

So I just watched The Black Marble, a romantic dramedy about the pressures on cops. I can't recommend it, though, because it was pretty boring. Nothing fantastic happens and it's not even that funny or dramatic.

I just watched Where The Green Ants Dream and it may be my favourite Herzog film. Or AT LEAST tied with Even Dwarfs Started Small. It's a beautiful shot, wonderfully acted, look at a feud between white folk and aboriginals. It isn't condescending to either of them, and it is heavily symbolic... dealing with things such as religion, colonialism and the human desire to cling to what you believe. I love this.

Personally I don't.

But they have bars in Cineworld so if I ever do get really bored during a film I can go get smashed and wait til whomever I went with has finished watching the film.
Plus the vip booths sound sweet, alcohol and privacy! I'd have sex in them no problem.

Ok, so I just watched Untraceable it was really disgusting, the killings, especially the lights and the acid ones. What I liked about it is that the guy kills people using the help of others through a website. The more people who log on and enter the website, the quicker the victim dies. It shows how brutal some people can really be. The last technique he used was shocking, I'm glad it didn't work out. ;)

When you mentioned this movie, I had a flashback to a 1950's (I think or 1960's movie) monster movie about these big monsters that looked like an octopus with a big eyeball and were up on top of this mountain by a laboratory. Anyone remember a name?

We just saw Walle. When this movie started I was almost stunned at how photorealistic this movie was. Computer animation is certainly coming into it's own. The vision of a wasted, waste piled earth was sobering. The story (love story between 2 robots) was ok, but did not really go where I expected it to. I do rate it above Cars though, which was painful for me to endure. In Cars I loved the racing, but the whole get-to-know-the-locals story just did not do it for me.

Wall-E is incredible and should be nominated for movie of the year. Right now it's my pick for that award but I know the Dark Knight is gonna take it. And there are a couple other movies that I think will be better, but it still deserves a nomination for best movie... and I'm willing to bet it's gonna win best animated film.


I just saw Hancock. Sure, the plot was a little wonky at times, but fuck it, it entertained me and there was some good laughs. I'm also a big superhero (fan) myself, and the "what if someone was the only superhero in the world?" question has always been cool. This movie is neat since it actually shows consequences of his actions. The drama was pretty decent, as well. And I like Will Smith. He's impressed me with some of his roles, such as I Am Legend and The Pursuit of Happyness. He gives another solid performance in this one and I wish people would drop the stigma that's around him (or was, maybe I'm behind the times and they already have). I'll give this a solid recommendation. It's pretty far from perfect but I liked it.
