I remember that movie and being forced to watch it. (dad wanted to see Empire Strikes back, but that was sold out so we had to see something he said)

The Holiday. Not too shabby, quite enjoyable Christmas romantic comedy along the lines of the superior Love Actually. However, "The Holiday" does have one of the best LOL lines ever said by a four year old to Cameron Diaz :D

For the record, I disagree with both of these below.

I *am* looking forward to the new one and fully expect it to be an all action blockbuster blah blah. However the old one was from a time and era where the action moved more slowly. I actually loved that film for that very thing.

e.g. it didn't try to do what any of the modern blockbusters do - trying to keep the audience going 'wow' every single second of the film. Sometimes it helps to actually build some suspense of what is to come. My two cents anyway. It's one of my favourite Harryhausen films.
