I just watched Yes Man and here is what I thought:
Thank you Jim Carey for creating a movie that has such a positive message. Positive message, great casting, great leading female!!!I laughed out loud so many times! Off the wall humor!! Jim is back! The whole concept of positive thoughts resulting in a "good things" will come atmosphere is really captivating & (for the most part) true!...I believe. "Yes" action creates positive reaction....The movie is billed as a comedy & was somewhat funny. I found it to be more of a motivational flick with a funny edge. I felt "positive" when it was over & recommend it for any & all...
Notorious:
The story was very much in line with what i've know about him, his family, and others in the business(from reading articles on the internet, newspapers, and etc..) As for the acting i must say i was surprise. I thought the lead guy that played Biggy did exceptional. Also, actresses playing Kim and Faith were good as well. The P Diddy character was funny and has always done exceptional job acting. The test of a good actor for me is when you forget you are watching an actor and they transform into the real character, same with Jamie Fox acting as Ray Charles. One important distinction: this movie is not about hip hop genre (that was during my adult children time) … it is about “rap” and what i like about the B.I.G. and Tupac is that they took the attention off the hard core “gangster rap” to rap with flavor and a really nice bounce. These young men (Tupac & Biggy) were artistic geniuses and I wished they lived long enough to make greater contribution from a more mature perspective.
Terminator: Salvation:
The fourth film in the franchise, is a worthy addition. Any doubts about director McG being able to direct action flicks should be dispelled here. The action is incredibly staged, and the special effects top notch. The cast does a fine job. Christian Bale makes an excellent John Connor, Anton Yelchin brings a younger Kyle Reese to life, and Sam worthington was great as the human/machine hybrid. Helena Bonham Carter also stands out in a minor role as the face of Skynet. The film has a couple of nice nods to the franchise (famous one liners pop up throughout and check out the song Connor uses to lure in a motorized Terminator), the biggest being the appearance of everyone's favorite killer cyborg. Fans should not miss this!
