Watched Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1 last night. Mostly a snore with some action. I remember the hype about "oh the birth scene was so brutal"- not. And they could have told this part of the story in about 1 hour which reinforces the notion this is just a mechanism to wring more money out of fans. Happy we only spent $1.99 to rent it. :)

I'm happy I've spent $0 to never see it at all. :p :D

I went to see the Dark Knight Rises this afternoon. :willy_nilly:

On my list to rent.

Last one in the movie theatres was Hunger Games....good piece of work that one

I'm thinking about going to see it Sunday. I haven't read any of the books, though.

I plan on renting it Sunday if I can find a copy. I've read all of the books. Good story. :)

I've only read the first, but I would not willingly recommend it to anyone. It probably translates into a Hollywood movie better, because its inane and insultingly sanitised.

This could work for me, as I'm only watching it to see if Lenny Kravitz appears half-clothed or fully-clothed. :ninja

I am certainly not trying to be argumentative, however i wouldbe interested to hear what you feel was sanitized about the book? It seemed quite the opposite to me, as the idea of pitting children in a "gladiator" type event, and then writing about the victimization in gruesome detail seems less than sanitized. I also dont understand the inane part but that is certainly your opinion.

Just happened to be flipping through the channels and saw "The Ladykillers" is on. A good friend sent it to me for Christmas last year and I really enjoyed it, so I'm watching it again. :)
