Prometheus.

Top notch movie. A splendid complement to the Alien franchise. Suspense is held quite well through the movie and if you enjoyed the Alien movies, this will do very nicely.

Bad points? A couple - but IMHO so minor they didn't detract from the overall experience.

Despite the intention of the movie to be a different tangent to the main Alien franchise, to me it felt like a prequel, which in this film's case is definitely not a bad thing.

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

I watched this two nights ago. The first bit, where the guy from Lost is running about being a spy, I was like 'oh right, this is so cheesy that it's obvious they're filming a movie within the movie and any minute now, someone will yell cut...' and then they didn't. That was the film.

I enjoyed it anyway, it just took me a minute to grasp the tone of the film :p

Trek II: Khan....

Ah, Ricardo Montalbon, a real beef cake. ;). Not bad.

My main complaint with most ST movies is that they start with a bang, waste about 50 min with hohum, another bang to pep things up, more hohum, then a finale.
