I haven't seen much with Gong Li, Curse of the Golden Flower was AWESOME though.

IMO, she's one of the most beautiful and exotic women I've seen. "Raise the Red Lantern" and Memoirs of a Geisha" are just two of my favorite films in which she gave outstanding performances. Looking forward to seeing "Shanghai."

The Blind Side.

I knew Michael Oher and I were there at the same time, but I didn't realize who the family was the took him in. I actually knew the girl.

I just got back from seeing The Last Airbender. Has anyone else seen this? Is there supposed to be a sequel or something? If not, the ending was pure and utter crap. Other than that I liked it because I find such movies entertaining. It was pointless putting it in 3D, though. Most of the time there was nothing 3D-ish going on.

It's a four part thing. It was a cartoon on Nick. There's a book for earth, fire, air, and water.

Well, it may only be three books.... but each one focuses on Aang mastering a new element. IMO, the cartoons were actually much better.

AND the guy who plays Sokka played Jasper in Twilight. I'd have never guessed that.

Clash Of The Titans.

Having seen and loving the old, I was dubious about this one but it was enjoyable enough. If you've seen the old, there's not huge amounts different in terms of the story aside from a few little things.

The only disappointment for me (aside from Avatar guy's wooden acting) was 'the stare' - that should have been longer for better dramatic effect - definitely better in the old one.

Still, it had Liam Neeson in it so I'm not complaining too much. :)

I recommend the Swedish version since Noomi Rapace plays in all 3 and she was really into the role (I watched her interview on the DVD after I watched the film). She spent approx 8 months getting into physical and mental shape for the role.

"She won Best Actress awards for her portrayal of Lisbeth Salander in the "Millennium Trilogy" of films, and was nominated in the same category at the European Film Awards.[1]"

Her performance was the only reason I stayed with the movie (152 minutes). I'm a Tartantino fan so I'm use to violence in films but this one pushed the envelope, so to speak.

Interesting, thanks! :)
