I am surprised none of you women have mentioned controlling men...Ones that try to limit what you think or what you do...Rather than give a reason why they just use emotion..and power trip

its a self esteem thing. they (the women) get told so much that they cant do any better, and after some point, they start to believe it. that and fear. its all psychological

It's not an empty statement.. I lived my first 20 years in a house with a man that would have killed my mother if she left.. and it wasn't just threat...
Some people stay with their partner for varied reasons, don't think they deserve better, can't leave cuz there is no support system, can't take the kids out of state etc... There are as many reasons as there are people.
