It's all about context and how she actually sees you. No point denying it, a girl will take a compliment from a man she finds attractive with a smile, but if she finds you creepy then any flirtatious comments just come off awkward.

I'd say look at her body language and how she reacts to you, but that's difficult if it's all done on facebook.

No wait, I know. If she makes flirtatious comments back then that's good, if she just puts something like 'lol you're funny' or even worse just 'lol' then you're screwed.

And if you do see her in person, check whether she makes eye contact a lot (good) or always seems to be looking at something else (bad).
