Today I got a prescription for a new type of pill because my old one made me far too emotional just before I got my period.

So I have a prescription for a low dose pill called Meliane.

Just wondering if any of you girls know this pill and how you find it?

Gynera 20
Gynera 75/20
Gynovin 20
Logest
Meliane Diario
Meloden
Melodene
Minigeste

So if someone recognizes one of those and has experience I'd love to hear what you have to say

BC also depends on the person as well.

cant help ya! ive been on the Depo for 6 yrs and i wouldnt use anything else!

None of them look familiar to me.. but it's been a very long time since I was on the pill..
The last BC I used was Nuva Ring and I have been off it for about a year now so..

@topic: Hm, sorry, can't help. During the last 10 years there were some changes regarding the pill to take, and it may be that yours was among it, but..mh, don't know for sure.

But I face the same problem at the moment. The last few days were horror.

For the OP cant you just google it and find the information? Also a pharmacist may be a good resource if you cant find anything there. Ive never heard of that one either is it fairly new?

I'm on Ortho Tri Cyclen lo. It's also low dose so I don't know if our pills are similar. But I have no side effects =]

Yes I've googled it, but I find people only make comments about the bad things so was hoping some women here had used it so I could ask further questions. Ah well I'll just give it a go and hope for the best

I just noticed your location maybe we dont have it here in the US. I may be leary if all I was reading was negative things though, youd think someone would have something good to say at some point.....

The pill I'm changing from was low dose as well, but this one has a different level of progesterone as apparently that is what makes woman emotional just before the period

Yes maybe not! Hmmm yes thats why I'm a little concerned now! But I will try it for 3 months and see how it is. They all react differently to different people anyway!

A few humorous jokes in the thread will not affect the quality of information she gets from another woman that has experience with low hormone BC. And sometimes talking to someone who has experienced side effects first hand is much better than Google or talking to your pharmacist.
