Ladies, is this true?

Ok, my Spanish colleague just explained that when ladies use public lavatories, even ones in the work place, they never actually sit down on the seat, just hover above it, lest they catch some infection or another.

To me, that sounds ridiculous. Is it true?

sometimes.. but in some toilets you get handy disinfecting spray u put on some loo roll and wipe 1st...

Very ridiculous... I sit on all toilet seats... if it's wet I'll wipe it dry. Can't catch anything from sitting on it.

i sit all the way on it! if theres some pee, i just wipe it off! no big deal! its usually the ones that hover that get the pee on the seat!

Texas of course! ive always been that way! i dont think you'll find anyone as laid back, optimistic and open minded as i am!

And hovering can cause you to not empty your bladder completely, leading to issues too apparently.

but apparantly squating over a hole does.. puts ur body in the natural position and opens up all the passage ways correctly to get everything out. did you know if you sit on the throne you are supposed to put your feet up on something?

I saw a show once where these designers tackled a redesign of the standard toilet - their research showed that if you squat you don't even need toilet paper, it all works much more smoothly...
