Lack of respect

I've started a load at 9 before, but only because I can barely hear the machines above me if I'm in the laundry area, and not at all if I move ten feet away or go to the bedroom.
I did a load at 10:30pm once because I had forgotten to do it earlier and it needed to be done. Usually I do my laundry in the early evening. On several occasions I've heard someone doing laundry at 6:00am. I live right above the laundry room and I can hear the machines when they're on. It doesn't bother me because it's a steady, almost soothing noise that doesn't disturb my sleep but I'm not sure if everyone (like the people living on either side of the laundry room) feels that way.

Even out here in the boonies we get an occasional vehicle with the radio screaming and the bass booming go down our road late at night. But at least it's not regularly.

I lived in an apartment for a year when hubby and I first got married. We lived on the second floor end unit. It was an open type unit with a balcony. Meaning... everyone entered their apartments from outside. Anywho.... I never heard the other neighbors. Guess we were lucky.

However..... this one night.... hubby and I were messing around in the bedroom and the headboard was hitting the wall. Not the wall between the apartments. And not that hard or loud. All of a sudden the tenant in the next apartment starting pounding on the wall!!!!!! :eek

Hubby said to ignore it and I was like sure... no problem..... :24:

I held the headboard away from the wall until 'it' was over.... and we both burst out laughing into our pillows.

I however prayed I would never never never ever run into the tenant next door until the day we finally moved. :ninja

...... we did end up moving the bed to the far side of the bedroom after that. And left space between the wall and the headboard..... :D

When I was first married, we lived in "Greenwich Village" in NYC., and we couldn't even walk in our apartment during the day, without the neighbor bellow us banging on the ceiling with a broomstick!!..:eek
We then bought a house in a "quiet" part of Queens, where it was impossible to sleep at night with all the sirens, trucks, blasting radios and motorcycles.. :(

After 25 years of noise, and when the kids started to leave the house, we moved to our summer cabin in NJ.. in the middle of the woods... with a private little dirt road, no traffic and no neighbors closer than an acre... Bliss, finally!!.. :)
Sometimes, days go by and I don't see or hear anyone!!.. :cool
Just me and my pets, and the birds outside.. :)

Now.... if only I could hide my hubby's TV remote control, my days would be just perfect!!!... :D:tongue:

We live in a fairly nice apartment complex and still the occasional booming stereo and white trash visiting residents. Maybe, it's because lastnight was St. Patty's and some people had a little too much beer, but being a victim of theft has me beyond fuckin furious. I noticed my driver door wasn't shut all the way upon walking towards the car this morning. First thing I do is look around the car because I sure as hell shut it! Where's my iPod?? FUCK!!! I shouldn't have left it in the vehicle and I've been bringing it in there for the past week. Sure enough, someone seized the opportunity and swiped it. I left a friendly note on the door of the suspecting apartment throwing a party...maybe friendly isn't the right word. I gave them 3 days to respond.

I've taken to playing my music as loud as I can during the day until right at 10pm :D
LOL! I had a really loud neighbor and I did the same thing. I got mean, though. The fuses for his apartment were in my apartment, so I would shut off his power and leave. If I had chillaxed by the time I came back, I would turn them back on. If not, I would wait until someone came to the door and asked. Then I would pretend to be innocent.:24::p

That doesn't give them the right to take your stuff.:mad
Do the cops know about what happened?
