Cause he's chilling with bin Laden, Sadam, and Hitler in hell.

I might of missed it, but I didn't realize that humans get to determine who is in hell:p

Did find it interesting of all those pictures of the population crying their eyes out. Must be things aren't as bad there as those in the west may think

The more important question in my book is what is his sons stand on his current existing policies?

Are we looking at the same hard-run reign to continue with a much younger son?
OR
are we looking at the possibility of ending the reign that puts up a front of happiness, solidarity, and success that seems to be believed by none other than themselves??

that was my reall thoughts but I figured I already knew close to the answer
it is going to be as bad or worse not better
most likely because if kim thought his replacement wouldnt be like him he would have gotten rid of him already

Also, I agree. Things will likely get worse, before they get better.

As dictators go, Kim Jong-Il was pretty tame. In fact, I'd go as far to say that there's loads more blood on Bush and Blair's hands than Jong Il's.

But the propoganda machine has been as rampant defaming Jong-Il over here in the west as his was popularising himself in the East.

I suggest that you go read up on the complete lack of human rights in North Korea... the estimated 250,000+ political prisoners, or the famine that was a result of their economy being completely mismanaged... a famine that killed several million people. Oh, then there's the fact that hundreds of millions of dollars have been requested for North Korea for emergency food aid, while its defense budget was $5.2 billion. Oh, and then there were the public executions used in order to keep control over the population, and the reeducation camps, the prisons, and Lord knows what else. As far as blood on his hands... consider the previously mentioned famine, along with the estimated 1 million people that have been executed as political prisoners.

Can't say that I'm sad about this news... however, I hope that things don't start going crazy over there with the family fighting for power. The do have NUKES... nothing like a tinpot dictator with some fire power...
