It's mine, allll mine.
Went to someone's house to evaluate a problem with their MacBook, they thought the hard drive crashed. Sure enough, it did... but she still had AppleCare on it. So I told her that she can just call them up or take it to the Apple store in Fresno where she bought it. I had told her earlier that I was out of a job after she had asked if I worked today. So she asked me why I didn't just charge her for the evaluation and replacing the drive myself, and I just told her that it went against my ethics to do that to someone. While I was there, she was playing with a Kindle Fire, and asked if I knew anything about them, because she wasn't liking it (had just bought it earlier in the week), and that she was thinking about just getting an iPad. I should mention that I'm pretty sure these people are loaded, based on the house and everything else. As I was leaving, she asked if I wanted the Fire, because she didn't know what she'd do with it after she got the iPad. I obviously jumped all over that. :24:
So now I have a nearly brand new Kindle Fire, for free, simply because I'm an apparently honorable person. :cheerleader:
It's pretty sweet so far... the interface is pretty slick, and obviously very different from the default Android one. My main gripe with it so far is the fact that it's freaking heavy for its size.
