Exactly, this is why they are parent they need to carry out their supervisory roles and care for the kids more.
Parents must be vigilants too though most cases now the parents are too engrossed at earning money and inorder for kids not to disrupt them they give them gadgets to keep busy with.

You are right we still have to take care of our children even when they are with the phone to know what they are up to.

Smartphones and tabs are banned in schools in our country, however, it is not possible to stop kids from using smartphone and tabs at home. My kid uses tab. I let him use it but I monitor what he does with it.

I believe that giving kids mainstream smartphones is not proper. There are tabs that are meant for kids. And those ones would even help them to learn more. I don't support giving kids normal smartphones.

Some children excessively use smartphones and tablets, which leads to a decline in communication with their parents and the surrounding people. Instead of focusing on their studies, they spend their time playing games. It is essential for parents to set limits on the use of these gadgets.

I believe that kids shouldn't have access to phones until they're in middle or high school. However, unless they need a tablet for school then that's completely different. Young children could come across troublesome apps or might even accidentally log into their parent's social media accounts and come across content not suitable for them.

My sister use to work in a school and she would shake her head when she saw students who couldn't be more then eight years old with these devices. She felt they were way too young to understand the responsibility of having such a device. I have to agree with her, I don't have a smartphone yet there are kids out there with one.

I take no offense to this if the kid has actually earned the phone themselves not just had it handed to them by their parents. I mean when that happens a kid doesn't understand how expensive the phone or the tablet were, they don't understand the maintenance or the charges involved. For me I just think that unless a kid and that included a teenager can afford the device or at least half of the device then they shouldn't have it. That was a philosophy my parents had they provided us with all the necessities of life, but any of the additional things we wanted we had to earn them ourselves. This taught us the responsibility or earning money and the responsibility of having a high price item.

Ye, I know that some parents think cellphones are a necessity to keep in touch with their kids. But in this case they are basic phones and pay as you go plans, kids don't need to fanciest of gadgets.
I think kids don't need cellphone. If he addicted on cellphone, he can face some mentally problem, thank you.
