Yes I try not to hit it square. I try to nick it to the left or right. And I do get strikes and spares even throwing a straight ball. I think if I was able to use a 12 pound ball I might do better. And I'm way more better at pool than bowling. I simply love playing pool!
They are all so nice looking but my favorite would be the first one on the right side. Very nice indeed! How many do you take with you when you go bowling?
I normally carry three when I am league bowling. Right now that would be the ball in my avatar and the second & third ball from the left. The ball you like best is suppose to roll straight but I can even get a hook out of it. I bought it to use as my spare ball but generally I can straighten out the other balls enough to shoot spares. I will occasionally take a couple of extras in the truck if I feel like the lanes may be too dry for the more reactive balls.
The second ball from the right is at least 17 or 18 years old.
The pretty ball is not designed to hook. I can still hook it unfortunately. The oldest of the balls I have only taken to the lanes a couple of times the last few years. It was designed when the pins & lanes were real wood not synthetic. It hits hard but leaves a lot of single pins while destroying most of the rack.
The ages of the balls in the picture is the oldest is second from the right. Followed by the first on the left. Followed by the middle ball, the one to its right. The gray ball then the one to its left. The pretty ball was the last one I purchased before the new one.
