An old church building with many odd things.














Perhaps this swan was trying to grab some moss or something.




This was hand held at 300mm and cropped, hence the lack of sharpness. But I had to get the cute cygnets.

That falling petal was a cheat really. Look closely and you'll spot that it's hanging by a very thin... something. I was hoping it would stay still during the breeze as I was trying to take the shot.

I was wondering whether to pop that one in or not in this thread but opted against. If you know the names of any of these flowers/bushes - please do educate me and I'll add tags to the flickr pics.

Thanks Ian You mentioning the bridges reminds me that I was waiting there ages as a swan approached - wondering if it would fly down or not beneath the arches. In the end, it seemed to change its mind and went back the other way.

i'm thinking the orange and purple might be rhododendrons......you might want to check it out though

I googled that and on google images and the flowers do look exactly like the pics I saw so I'm thinking you're right.

Googled rhododendrons and Keddleston Hall and found pages talking of its massive rhododendron and azaleas gardens which backs that up too.
