Katie Couric's CBS debut

Well tonight is the first time a female has anchored the news by herself, and it takes place on CBS. I'm a left coaster, so it hasn't happened here yet, but if you live in the USA and you're on the east coast, you may have already caught her debut.

For those who are disinterested, just ignore this topic altogether. For anybody that happened to catch her on tv, I was just wondering what you thought of her.

I know it's a rather lighthearted topic, and probably boring to some. Not everyone likes Katie Couric, and I admit that I'm not a huge fan myself. I am a big fan of women though, being one myself :p and I'm excited about a woman having this position.

So, what did you think, if you saw it?

She's a MILF. And a rich one at that. (Typical guy response)

Still, I find it rediculous that anyone should get paid so many millions of dollars for just sitting in front of a camera and reading words off of a teleprompter. First female in history or not.

That's kind of the way it is for the news anchors. They always get all of the attention while the little guy does all of the work. I kind of liked her broadcast, because it's not so stuffy, and she doesn't come across as arrogant as Dan Blather and all the rest of them. This broadcast reminds me more of CNN. They're getting the viewer more involved. I also like that they're bringing in political correspondents from all sides to debate issues, etc. I never liked one sided news. I like to hear every side of the story.
